REPORTS FOR BUSINESSES
(for due diligence)

In the current economic environment, outright failure of an institution (and loss of deposits in excess of the FDIC’s $250,000 limit) may not be the principal concern. Instead, risk assessment often focuses on other responses by a financial institution to unfolding problems . . . problems that can adversely impact those with whom it does business. Surprises such as sudden curtailment of credit lines, merger announcements, fee hikes, payment delays and earnings plunges can be symptomatic of regulatory troubles, financial weakness or back office problems -- situations that show up routinely in the data VERIBANC analyzes.

Congress has increased FDIC deposit insurance to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013. Please click on the following link for more details: http://www.fdic.gov/deposit/difaq.html
